From the age of 5 Nicholas has pursued his love of sailing. By 16, and a junior Victorian Yachting Council coach, he worked tirelessly to take part in his first Category race at 23, the Melbourne to Hobart as a Bowman.
Since then Nicholas has been a major competitor in the premier ocean races around Australia, undertaking a total of 10 Sydney & Melbourne to Hobarts plus several Sydney Gold Coast races. As the managing director of Terra Firma, a national business consulting organisation, Nicholas has been able to bring his strong sense of team, strategy and tactics learned at sea, to his leadership of Terra Firma Nicholas skippered the yacht Terra Firma again in the Sydney to Hobart race 2010. |
